Guns > Gun Nut Quiz

Here. I got 7 out of 10. I missed the question on the .220 Swift, .22LR, and coil vs. flat springs. I at least learned something useful on that last question. After each question you get the correct answer and a short explanation, so it's educational.

Found on THR. Take the quiz before you follow that link to avoid cheating. yhtomit makes a very valid point about one of the answers being kinda bogus, but it was one I got right, so I don't get to adjust my score.

8 of 10.

Like you, I missed the .220 and the spring questions. I got the .22 right, but it was an educated guess.

...and the Webley (Gabbet-Fairfax) Mars most certainly did not have a cylinder. It was an autoloader operating on the long-recoil principle.

Gosh, everybody knows that.

The quiz died on me partway thru, after I missed the .22 question. I actually presumed that the correct answer was silly because I misunderstood what goes on in there.

Webley made a lot of weird stuff. Every gun nut knows about the Webley-Fosbury, which does have a cylinder. They were counting on that to confuse people.
