Blogging > Google: Immortalizing My Bad Spelling

So I was typing a word tonight and realized I wasn't sure where to put the a's and o's. So I Google anomoly.

Google helpfully suggests Did you mean: anomaly , but guess what's the fourth result in Web page matches?

I just tried it and of course it doesn't come up as #4. The point is that google keeps track of YOUR past searches and what results were important for YOU in the past and tailors its search after that. Many folks out there imagine they're number one because their page comes up high when they google themselves -- but when they tell their mom and she tries she finds that there's a million other John Doe that come up first...

Well, it doesn't come up at #4 for me anymore, either. That was nine months ago. Times change, and so do Google rankings.
