Last week I signed up with BlogAds and Google AdSense to bring in a little extra money. AdSense is working really well. Not crazy money, but it's enough to pay my $15 a month Web hosting bill and pay for a couple meals out every month.

(LATER: Busy Mom told me in an email that it's against AdSense terms of service to say how much you make and that they've been known to cancel people's accounts for doing that, so I've removed that information.)

I used different "channels" for different pages on the site. Most of the clicks are coming from the individual post archives, which is where most of the search engine traffic goes. I'm getting almost no clicks on the front page, so I may pull the AdSense ads off the front page in the future.

I signed up for BlogAds but I haven't had any offers yet. I'm going to take Uncle's advice and get things rolling by giving away some BlogAds to anyone who wants them. I'm holding one for Coal Creek Armory. I'll give away two other spots for a months to any business or non-profit who wants one. Just shoot me an email or post in comments.
