A&E > Guilty Pleasure

Got home from the Knoxville Zoo and the Old City and found myself crashing on the couch watching "Real Housewives of the O.C." on Bravo. It's plastic surgery, materialism run rampant, and parents passing questionable values and behavior on to their unbelievably spoiled children, but I couldn't stop watching.

This is one of my guilty pleasures as well. Reality Television has some sort of crack quality to it. You start watching, you can't stop and you can feel the synapses in your cranium start zapping out as brain cells start dying.
I don't care. I do it anyway.

I don't know that I would call it a guilty pleasure since I rarely get pleasure from it when I catch it. It's more like watching a car wreck. Can't look away, regardless of how horrible it might be.

The kids on that show are in toe-tall denial. The one kid said she "deserved" her new BWM birthday present.

Another said she wasn't that spoiled compared to other kids in the O.C. Then her friend remined her that she had a pager in the second grade.

My first wife was from the O.C. Her mom was a real housewife of the O.C.

Did I mention she's my ex?
