Dear Lazyweb > Paint Can Disposal in Knoxville or Maryville?

Dear Lazyweb,

I have some half a dozen partially-used gallon paint cans. I'm looking for a dropoff center in Knoxville or Maryville where I can properly dispose of them.

UPDATE: Bob in comments says for latex paint (which this is) open the lid, let it dry completely, and throw it out with regular trash. This page from the Montgomery County, Maryland government and this one from the Illinois EPA say the same thing, and specifically say to not take latex paint to toxic waste facilities. So there you go.

You could come pick up my stack of the same on your way to the dump.

I don't have a clue what to do with them, either. I know there's an "industrial" dump over off of Rutledge Pike, where you pay by the load, but I guess I figured I'd throw mine in the trash can, one can at a time.

If it is latex based paint, the rule we follow around here (Puget Sound area) is to leave the can open until the paint is dry and then throw them in the regular trash.
