Katie was in the bathtub and Melissa asks me to watch her for a minute. I go in, and there's this annoying noise.

You know how you pull the little thing to make the water go from the bathtub spout to the showerhead? Melissa had pulled that to use the shower to rinse Katie's hair, then turned the water off. In our bathtub the little thing doesn't always go back down when you turn off the water, and for some reason the column of water going to the showerhead makes this annoying metal-water whining sound as it tries to go back down.

When I step into the bathroom I hear that sound, so I instinctively tap the little thing on the bathtub spout. The water runs out into the bathtub and the annoying sound stops.

Katie instantly says "Daddy, why you turn music off?"

I know parents and kids don't always agree on music, but dang.
