Home Life > Y'all are my Witnesses

So Melissa wants to buy a vacuum cleaner. We have wood floors and just need a vacuum every now and then for the rugs, so when we do we borrow my mom's.

I'm like, we already have a carpet shampooer and hard floor cleaner we never use.

And she's all like, if I had a vacuum cleaner I'd use that all the time.

And I'm going, that's what you said about the carpet shampooer.

And then she says, but I can't shampoo the carpet because we don't have a vacuum and it'd get clogged.

So I'm all, shyeah that's a good excuse.

And she's like no really if I had a vacuum cleaner I'd vacuum every week.

And I reiterate, shyeah.

But she's like no, really, if I had a vacuum cleaner I'd vacuum every week.

And I'm sayin', it would be worth it to buy one if you'd vacuum every week.

Then she's like, I would, too, vacuum every week.

And I'm asking, what do I get if you don't vacuum every week?

I won't say what she promised me, but we're definitely getting a vacuum cleaner next weekend.

It will be nice to know that none of the vacuums around the house are dirty.

The S 38.

Beats a bagless all to hell.

Air coming out is cleaner than room air. Trust me, it's worth every penny it costs, and it costs a lot. It's great for allergies and my emphysema.

I highly recommend a Roomba! http://www.irobot.com/ And Woot ( http://woot.com ) frequently has them at a great price.

The trick with the Roomba is to 1) clean the brushes and dump the bin every use.
And 2) run it regularly (which means pushing the button if yours isn't on a timer)

They go under the couches and vacuum places you'd otherwise ignore. Dust bunnies scream in terror! It will easily switch from hardwood to carpet. And you can even get a Scooba that will scrub those hardwoods (provided they are properly sealed).

I have more to say about Roomba!
