I thought Katie's Aquadoodle pen was broken. I couldn't get the cap off to refill it it with water, even with a pair of pliers. We bought a new Aquadoodle travel kit last night, and I couldn't get the cap off that one, either.

Then I looked at the pen. Next to the words "Turn the cap to open" (translated beneath as "Tournez le capuchen pour ouvrir") is an arrow pointing to the left. So instead of the normal righty-tighty left-loosy the cap is reverse threaded.

I don't know what "Tournez le capuchen pour ouvrir" means, but I'm guessing it's "we set up our tooling backwards."
