Tech > Google Maps Coming to Gas Pumps

Via Michael Silence.

Lost drivers soon will be able to Google for help at the pump. As part of a partnership to be announced Wednesday, the online search leader will dispense driving directions at thousands of gasoline pumps across the United States beginning early next month.

Very cool. Here's another idea for Google. Partner with grocery stores, home improvement stores, department stores and other big box retailers to offer in-store search. Many's the time I've been trying to find something in a store and wished I could Google the aisle and shelf location.

I hope those touchscreens have an anti-static coating and are well grounded!
