Natalie's learning lots of new words. Melissa heard her say "belly button" yesterday. Natalie just now said a new word. "Yes." She's known how to say "no" for a long time, which is the way it seems to work with babies.

This was after she brought me a banana from the kitchen and I asked her if she wanted me to peel it. She said yes, I peeled it, and a second later I realized she must have learned Katie's trick of climbing the step stool to get to things on the kitchen counter.

Katie was a precocious, outgoing child. Natalie is a little harder to figure. She's quieter, but she's really picking up on things and is learning from her older sister. Natalie likes picture books and Katie is reading them to her now, pointing out the names of animals and objects.
