"Atlanta is the Mos Eisley of the South."

My oldest is in high school band. Two years ago they went to a competition in Atlanta and played at the Falcon's stadium. That evening they parked their equipment in a loading and storage area of a major hotel downtown on Cherry Street. The equipment was backed in, so thieves wouldn't get to the doors.

There under the watchful eye of the hotel; thieves cut the lock and chains from the hitch, disconnecting the trailer from the truck. They rolled the truck out into the parking lot, smashed the windows and took out the sound gear. Then they hauled off the trailer stealing all the equipment in it along with the 4-wheeler used to pull the pit onto the field. This is what passes for security in downtown Atlanta.

Crime - check.
Graft - check.
Corrupt politicians going all the way back to reconstruction - check.
Ted Turner owns half the town - check.

Atlanta is either Mos Eisley or perhaps the lower mile of Coruscent. However, as noted on Futurama it is a major Delta hub.
