Politics > pR0n Paul

A number of bloggers have noticed that if you mention Ron Paul on your blog that a crack squad of Ron Paul supporters will assault your comment section in no time. The Ronbots are presumably searching Technorati or some other blog indexing tool for any reference to The Great One, the better to chastise non-believers.

SayUncle got so tired of it he's taken to misspelling the name: "R o n P a u l (forgive the spaces but I don’t want the usual suspects hijacking the post with how I’m not a real man because I say he can’t win)."

Wouldn't a better misspelling be pR0n Paul?

(FYI if you don't get the joke. People online sometimes spell porn "pr0n" and hackers misspell words in 1337 speak for the same reason you might want to misspell pR0n Paul: to keep automated bots from searching for monitored words or censoring banned words.)

Going by a nifty l33t speak conversion tool, the full version should be "r0n p4|_|1". Of course, it lacks the novelty of having "pr0n" in his name...

Ron is strong. He will make us go.

(I'll be really disappointed if you don't get the reference...)

Ron Paul is the bestest candidate and how dare you suggest that he won't make the list.

:D

Give that man a cigar!

The Paul-bots remind me a tad of The Pakleds from Star Trek TNG.
