Home Life > Flu Blogging

Saturday night I decided to take a nap for a few hours. When I woke up I had cold chills that made me shake constantly. After a few hours of that I used a heating pad to get the chills to stop. Sunday morning I wasn't any better, and around one o'clock my wife drove me to the doc-in-a-box.

I had to steer the doc towards a flu diagnosis. He was about to prescribe antibiotics for bronchitis. I asked if he thought it might be the flu. The receptionist said they were overrun with flu patients ever since Friday. I mentioned the cold chills I had the night before. He had a flu swab done and ten minutes later we knew it was the flu.

I'm on Tamiflu and will be home from work a couple of days. Whether that means more or less blogging I don't know. Sorry for the reduced output lately. I've been busy, and I was actually sick both of the weekends before this one, so I feel like I'm barely treading water lately.

Yikes. Best wishes. I really don't want my kids to get this, or my elderly mother. I'm going to sit tight for a few days.

You're going to be amazed at how fast you bounce back with Tamiflu.

Keep hydrated. Hope you feel better soon.

Regards,
Rabbit.

Here's hoping you're well again soon. Eleven states are seeing flu outbreaks right now with Virginia and Mississippi among them.

Sounds like Tennessee's next in line.

Get better soon!

Thanks, guys.

Frank: after what the receptionist told me I'd expect to see more cases. Loudon County shut down their schools several days last week because of a flu outbreak.

And add Anderson County and Clinton city schools to the list. They're closed Thursday and Friday.

Vitamin anyone?
