East Tennessee > Cliff! Hands Out Teddy Bears Before Hearing
Knoxville News-Sentinel - Man accused of shooting red light gives out teddy bears:
A Knoxville man charged with shooting out a red light camera passed out teddy bears to reporters before a hearing. Forty-seven-year-old Clifford Clark's stuffed animals bore the message "Save the Cliff."
During the Thursday hearing, Clark said he would represent himself. He is charged with felony vandalism and reckless endangerment.
Police say he shot out the camera with a rifle. He was arrested near the scene with a deer rifle in his van. Clark says he is innocent. He has set up a Web site that claims he was framed.
