Home Life > The Great 2008 Bean Bag Incident

You remember how I said that bean bags were the big hit this last Christmas? Tonight Katie figured out how to unzip them.

Luckily we bought a Dyson vacuum cleaner last weekend, so this was a 15 minute inconvenience instead of a disaster. If you've ever thought about getting a Dyson, I highly recommend it. You never have to change bags, belts, or HEPA filters, it automatically adjusts to the right height, emptying it is no muss no fuss, and the built-in hose and attachment system work great.

We put the bean bag stuffing back in as we vacuumed it off of the floor. When it was all over I slathered the bean bag zipper in an entire tube of super glue so this will never, ever happen again. :-)

And I bet she was so proud of herself for figuring it out! :-)

That's almost as good as the time I discovered how to make flour bombs . . . out of my Mom's best stone-ground flour and her collection of paper bags . . . and "bombed" my sisters in the entrance hall (from the top of the stairs).

I smarted for a while for that one . . . 8-O

Ooo, those things are so static-y. "Friends" dumped a bean bag into our honeymoon car (first marriage). It was years before we saw the end of those beany bead things.

Jealous of the Dyson, by the way. When my sweeper bites the dust, I'm going to bite the bullet and get that Dyson my ownself.

Those photos serve as a paternity test...no doubt that's your kid, Les!

We got our Dyson from woot.com; the pethair special model, that normally sells for $499. We paid $224 inc. shipping.

Best vacuum we've ever used.
