Quotes > Barack Obama

"Well, let me — let me be absolutely clear. Israel is a strong friend of Israel's. It will be a strong friend of Israel's under a McCain government — administration. It will be a strong friend of Israel's under an Obama administration. So that policy is not going to change."
 -- Barack Obama

Just like Obama's other gaffes you probably won't hear that clip played over and over on TV, for whatever reasons.

Right. Pointing out irrelevant verbal blunders is crucial if we hope to have any chance of retaining a functioning democracy. And it's so unfair, too -- there's been nothing but wall to wall coverage of McCain talking about Czechoslovakia, and the Iraq/Pakistan border, and the Green Bay Packers. The Media's out to get him!

Exhibit A as to Why Obama Is Going To Win:

http://www.melissaclouthier.com/2008/07/23/barack-obama-hosts-german-campaign-stop-for-world-presidency/

He's giving a public speech in Germany, and wants GERMANS to come! What AMERICAN would want to talk to anyone but AMERICANS?! An America-hating American, that's who. And, he's advertising it in GERMAN, not AMERICAN! AMERICANS SPEAK AMERICAN! And look. Here's a picture of HITLER! Next to Obama!! Yikes! (update: Attention America-haters: I'm not saying Obama is Hitler. Go back to hating America. But, again! Obama! Hitler! Yikes!!!)

Note that the only time Obama's taken a sustained hit in the polls is when an actual legitimately bad thing about him came out:

Hint: it wasn't in response to "revelations" about his forged birth certificate, or Michelle calling him her baby-daddy, or how he wants us all to speak French, or that he's in reality not smart or articulate at all but is instead a blithering idiot who can barely speak a coherent sentence or even open his mouth without demonstrating that he has an IQ of 80. The louder y'all repeat stuff like that, the better he'll do in the election.

The birth certificate stuff is goofy and I don't get the problem with Obama trying to get Germans to his speech in Germany.

I do think the press is giving the guy massive softball coverage. Hey, don't take it from me. Take it from America's finest news source.
