Knoxville News-Sentinel - Anti-crack bill: Legislator seeks to outlaw sagging pants:
NASHVILLE - Legislation to outlaw wearing pants that sag below the waistline was approved by a House subcommittee Wednesday despite one lawmaker’s protest that the move is an attempt to “legislate fashion.” Rep. Joe Towns, D-Memphis, said he proposed HB2083 after constituents complained of people - mostly youngsters - wearing their pants too low.
Goodness knows we wouldn’t want teenager’s pants to be slightly too low. I’m glad Tennessee’s legislators have stepped into the breech to protect society from this horrible scourge.
