Springbrook-Mushrooms -- A bolete - a fungus with spongey pores instead of gills. This one had a red cap on top (right) and yellow sponge mass beneath (left). Glancing at the Audobon field guide I'd say it's probably from the genus Boletus, but I didn't ID it any closer than that.
